All employees have a responsibility to eliminate at-risk behavior in themselves and others. This includes the obligation to call "Time-Out" during any perceived unsafe operation. Anyone, in good faith and acting reasonably, who believe that a task being performed or carried out not in a safe manner, shall STOP THE WORK immediately. A report shall be made to the supervisor or the most senior officer at the site, who shall re-evaluate the risk involved.
GPTC is committed to the protection of people, asset and the environment. GPTC shall adopt the globally acceptable standard practice and shall continually improve its Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) performances and shall take reasonable and practicable steps to eliminate or prevent the risk of fatality, injuries, property damage, occupational illness and negative environmental impact. To ensure that its Strategic Business Unit and Operating Companies are not exposed to unwanted/unacceptable Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental impact while performing the daily business activities, GPTC HSE Division shall therefore: - Comply with HSE legal requirement, guidelines, and adopt industry best practices; - Build and implement an effective and resilient HSE Management System; - Implement effective risk control measures; - Provide competence workforce and ensure adequate resources towards all HSE aspects in our daily operations; - Minimize negative impact to the environment related to air, water, land and ecosystem; - Review and continuously monitor the HSE performance to ensure continual improvement in all aspect; - Promote high level of HSE visibility and leadership and ensure engagement at all levels; - Establish effective crisis management and plan for, respond to and recover from any emergency, crisis and business disruption in a timely manner; GPTC HSE policy shall apply throughout its global operations and requires all of its employees, contractors, self-employed persons or visiting customers to strictly adhere to this policy at all times to protect the health and safety of everybody, reduce the risk of damage or losses to the asset and ensure the protection of our environment. |
